Supersonic Boy enjoyed his bumpy ride until he reached the end of the tunnel. And then, there was nothing. The tunnel was closed on the other side. With nowhere to go, Supersonic Boy was stuck.
After I began exploring the connections that the brain makes with the information that it receives from our senses, I realised that my son’s dislike for school stemmed from something deeper, yet something simple. It was probably something that he had heard. When we moved through the years, we understood that his best influences had also been his worst influences. And that was us, his family.
Whenever we are faced with a situation, we immediately try to move in singular paths towards finding a solution for it. But most often, the answer arrives when we begin to walk the other paths.
