There once was a boy,
Who wanted to own the world
So he jumped and screamed,
And pushed and pulled
But every time he jumped,
Someone jumped higher
Every time he screamed,
Someone screamed louder
Every time he pushed,
Someone pushed harder
And every time he pulled,
Someone pulled stronger.
The boy slumped in defeat
And looked around in exhausion
He saw the world,
Filled with people
Who were jumping and screaming,
And pushing and pulling
To own a world,
That was not theirs to own
But was indeed theirs,
To Care and to Protect
Dear Reader,
Right from a piece of land, to people, to planets and places, all we want to do is, to own, to control and to colonize.
But do we want to own a home, or take care of one? Do we want to boss others or be our own boss? Do we want to colonize barren planets or care for the one that cares for us?!
Irrespective of our goals and ambitions, there is only one thing that all of us are born to do – to give back as much as we take.
According to the good doc, Earth is running out of time. We can either extend her lifetime or kill her with our attitude. So do we choose to be healers or killers? Whatever we choose to be, it helps to keep in mind that there is no Planet B.
